Shamina Akthar (she/her) is one of Laal's Outreach Coordinators. In Bangladesh, she spent time teaching children at a Mission School.

She heard from another woman about Laal and began attending yoga and ESL classes. She is very grateful to have found Laal which she is now employed by. 

 

Before Laal she always scared to go out, but coming to Laal she feels very accepted and welcome. In her own words, "words can't describe my love and appreciation for all Laal does for the Bengali womxn of Norwood."
